Bournville Allotment site is OPEN

On Monday 26 July Weston Allotment Club handed over their first plot to a new tenant. By the end of the day 15 plots had been allocated and of those 4 had started clearing their plot to prepare for planting.

Councillor Clive Darke visited the site to see how things were progressing, it's with his support that this site has been able to open again.

The Weston Mercury came to take pictures, so look out for a piece in the local paper soon

We are pleased to advise that the Allotment site in the Bournville, Weston Super Mare is to reopen this summer.

Following many months of discussion and negotiation we are very soon to reopen this site to residents of Weston Super Mare.
It’s hoped that more than 50 plots can be marked out on the site, assisting our ever growing waiting lists.

In recent months the site has been completely cleared, additional water points installed and security improved.

The site will be managed by the Weston Allotment Club and its hoped that the first batch of residents will be able to take over requested plots by August, which will give plenty of time for them to prepare the ground and start winter planting.

If you would like to register for a plot at this site or any of the other sites in Weston, please contact us on email address
